Maltobionic Acid, extracted from Maltose, is a 3rd generation polyhydroxy bionic acid. Its low molecular weight of 358 dalton enables transdermal penetration for a superior moisturizing effect. Repeat Insult Patch Test (RIPT) confirms the safety of its application as a moisturizer without any side effects, including allergy and skin rashes. Maltobionic acid is superior to Lactobionic acid and Hyaluronic acid and is an excellent anti-aging ingredient besides being an effective moisturizer.
