Longifene Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat various allergic conditions such as conjunctivitis and urticaria. It is also used for prevention and treatment of nausea or vomiting associated with motion sickness.
Longifene Tablet should be taken immediately after food or preferably one hour before you travel. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. In case, you have missed any doses than it is better to take the next dose as soon as you remember it. However, you should never take a double dose.
Dizziness is the most common side effect of this medicine. Avoid driving or attention-seeking activity. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. In some cases, it may cause dryness of mouth, so it is advised to drink more water, always carry sugar candy or maintain oral hygiene.

HOW TO COPE WITH SIDE EFFECTS?

Coping with Sleepiness
If the medicine is making you drowsy during the day, stop what you are doing and sit or lie down until you feel better. You can also consider taking a nap. Physical exercises such as walking may be helpful. Do not drink alcohol, as it will make you feel more tired. Avoid driving or operating heavy equipment when you are feeling drowsy. This problem usually goes away as your body gets used to the medicine. However, if it does not, ask your doctor if you can take your medicine at bedtime or whether the dose can be reduced.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Longifene Tablet is to be taken with food.

WHAT IF YOU FORGET TO TAKE LONGIFENE TABLET?
If you miss a dose of Longifene Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
